Elliptical Repair

Noisy strides and stuck resistance are almost always a worn bearing, bushing, or drive component. We track down the source and restore a smooth, quiet glide.

Overview

Everything you need from a trusted Central Valley partner

Ellipticals have more moving joints than any other cardio machine, which means more places for noise and wear to develop. Our technicians pinpoint the squeaks, clunks, and rough strides that frustrate members — replacing worn bearings, bushings, link arms, and drive belts, and servicing the magnetic resistance systems that make modern ellipticals feel premium. We service front-drive, rear-drive, and center-drive designs from every major manufacturer.

Why choose CaliFitness

Noisy strides and stuck resistance are almost always a worn bearing, bushing, or drive component

Noise & stride specialists

We diagnose the exact bearing, bushing, or pivot causing the clunk or squeak instead of throwing parts at it, so the fix lasts and the stride feels smooth again.

Every major brand

Precor, Life Fitness, Octane, SportsArt, Matrix, Technogym, Star Trac, and Spirit — including the EFX and Adaptive Motion designs.

Resistance that responds

When resistance won't change, we trace it through the brake, motor, and console rather than guessing, so riders get the workout they expect.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why does my elliptical squeak or clunk with every stride?

Stride noise almost always comes from worn pivot bearings, bushings, or roller wheels in the link arms and ramp. These wear gradually under constant load; we replace the worn components and re-grease the pivots to bring back a silent glide.

The resistance won't adjust — can you fix it?

Yes. On magnetic ellipticals this is typically the resistance motor (servo), the magnetic brake assembly, or the console signal. We isolate which one has failed and repair or replace just that part.

How long does a typical elliptical repair take?

Most bearing, belt, and resistance repairs are completed in a single visit once we have the parts on hand. We confirm parts availability up front so there are no surprises.
